It is with much excitement in the area, that Parke Drama Group present Thy Will Be Done by Michael Carey as its first production in the newly renovated Parke Community Hall Friday 28th & Saturday 29th November. Directed by Bríd Quinn with Vincent McHale as Assistant Director, Thy Will Be Done is based on circumstances that have frequently occurred, the story of two brothers living close by who have not spoken to each other for more than 40 years! In the background there is a failed marriage for one brother and for the other, a wife who left him for New York just before their son was born, never to return. Years later their son returns from America to help work with the family's west of Ireland farm. But slowly this son's difficulty dealing with his Father and Uncles hatred of each other reveals many home truths he must face up to. But its not all about the men, as a local woman although a bit of a busy body has a lot of character and the best interests of those she keeps house for at heart. Although the truth can be painful "Thy Will Be Done" provides many comedic moments & typically of Michael Carey his script delivers much humour.  With the experienced cast of Mary Mahon as Bridie, Seamus Beirne as Martin, John Daly as Jack & Michael Maguire as Peteen, as well as previous sell out productions, advanced booking is advised through 087 799 3129 or 9031128 after 6pm - tickets: €10.00 with doors open at 8:00 for curtain at 8:30.

Parke Community Hall is 2km from the National Museum of Ireland - Country Life and about 1.5km from Turlough Tower. Follow the signs for Parke & Turlough off the N5.
