Tuesdays to Fridays 18 - 28 January: 10.00am & 11.30am St. Brigid's Festival Workshops Curator Clodagh Doyle will give a short talk on St. Brigid followed by a workshop making St. Brigid's crosses with staff from the Education & Outreach Department. Location: Museum Galleries Level -2
Wednesday 26 January: 2.30pm Brídeog & Cros Bríde Workshop "..garments might be stuffed with straw or hay to approximate to a human figure." Make a Brídeog & Brigid's crosses with Merovee, Institute of Feminism & Religion. Location: Museum Galleries Level -2
Sunday 30 January: 2.30pm Workshop. "St. Brigid's cross hung over door which did the house from fire secure" Join Vivian Lynn of the Education & Outreach Department to learn how to make a variety of St. Brigid's crosses. Location: Museum Galleries Level -2

TEMPORARY EXHIBITIONS Running until 24 April 2005: Down Memory Lane: Childhood in the 1950s. This exhibition illustrates life for children of this period, dealing with Birth, Christening, Sleeping, Eating and Drinking, Health, Education and Religious Life. There is also a large selection of Toys and Games on display. An extensive Education programme will run over the course of the exhibition. Further details available from the Education and Outreach Department. Location: Museum Galleries Level -1
Running until Sunday 27 February 2005 Mias Tighearnáin: St. Tiernan's Dish on display at the National Museum of Ireland - Country Life The famous medieval reliquary, the Mias Tighearnáin, St. Tiernan's Dish, has traditionally been associated with Errew near Crossmolina, Co. Mayo and has been in the care of the National Museum of Ireland since 1999. Location: Museum Galleries Level 0
