Beginners ‘Couch to 5k'
launched in Mayo
Mayo Sports Partnership is delighted to announce a brand new activity programme for Autumn 2014 called ‘Couch to 5k'. This is an 8 week exercise programme led by a qualified sports leader and is tailored specifically for people wishing to be able to walk/run a 5k. Each week's exercise class will build on a previous class and will allow everyone work at their own level. The programme is open to teenagers (over 15) and adults and is being out in 3 areas Ballinrobe, Castlebar and Claremorris.
The programme is limited to the first 20 applicants in each area. It will cost just €30 for 8 nights. Students pay just €25. The programme is designed for absolute beginners and the sports leader will be on hand to help, assist and give fitness advice.
