Down Memory Lane: Childhood in the 1950s.
This exhibition illustrates life for children of this period, dealing with Birth, Christening, Sleeping, Eating and Drinking, Health, Education and Religious Life. There is also a large selection of Toys and Games on display. An extensive Education programme will run over the course of the exhibition. Mias Tighearnáin: St. Tiernan's Dish
on display at the National Museum of Ireland - Country Life
The famous medieval reliquary, the Mias Tighearnáin, St. Tiernan's Dish, has traditionally been associated with Errew near Crossmolina, Co. Mayo and has been in the care of the National Museum of Ireland since 1999.
