Well-Being Evening for Migrant Communities Ballina Migrant Health Forum, Mayo Intercultural Action and Ballina Family Resource Centre are holding a Well-Being Evening for Migrant Communities on the 13th of March in Family Resources Centre, Ballina from 6 - 9.30 pm. The event aims to raise awareness amongst migrants about the services available in the county that are working to ensure and maintain people's well-being. The idea of well-being for the purpose of this evening is interpreted widely and includes different dimensions such as mental health, security from domestic and other abuse, sport and healthy lifestyle, access to public health services in the area amongst others. The first part of the evening will bring together relevant local agencies, services, entrepreneurs and local migrants from 6.00-7.30pm. A number of services and initiatives working in areas of public health, domestic abuse, lifestyle and sport will come along to inform local migrants on their activities and how to avail them. The practical workshop on how to maintain wellness and reduce stress facilitated by Ann Caulfield will be offered from 8.00-9.30 pm. Migrants are very welcome to attend the evening and to bring their children along as activities for children will be provided. For further information, or if you would like to exhibit a service at the event, please contact Mayo Intercultural Action on 094 9044511.
