We couldn't wait to get started!

We are very busy preparing for Christmas.

Last Sunday, December 8th , classes from Junior Infants to Third Class hosted our annual Carol Service and Nativity Play.
This was a great success.

Our turn will come on Tuesday next, December 17th, when we present our Christmas Play, "Star of Wonder" in the School Hall. Fifth and Sixth Clases will also be on stage that night presenting their own shows.

We visited the Linenhall Centre in Castlebar on Wednesday 23rd March to take part in a workshop on weaving.While there, we heard lots about the history of the linen weaving industry in Ireland. We also got a chance to browse around the weaving exhibition entitled Hand to Hand, which showed the work of Allie Kay, the lady who was giving the workshop.Then we got to try some weaving ourselves, using various fabrics and even plastic!We also got to try out an old method of weaving linen, which was really difficult and we all realised that weavers would have had to be both very skilled and patient!A great time was had by all and we all got to take our own piece of weaving home.
