"The Bishop's Stone",
Killadeas, Co. Fermanagh.
The "Bishop's Stone," about 1 metre high, is so called because of the depiction of what appears to be, an elderly cleric, holding a crozier and a bell. The figure is shown dressed in a short robe and wearing pointed slippers. His chin and nose are elongated and his back is hunched indicating that he is an old man nearing the end of his earthly life.
Expert opinion suggests that the carving dates from somewhere between the 9th and 12th centuries, and it has been suggested that the stone may have been a "christianised" prehistoric monument.

The stone is situated in the yard of Killadeas Church of Ireland , Co. Fermanagh and is one of several interesting stones to be seen there. The village is approximately eight miles from Enniskillen on the scenic Lough Erne east shore road to Belleek.
