This photo by Yvonne McDermott shows a section of the large audience attending a meeting of the Mayo Historical & Archaeological Society at the GMIT campus in Castlebar. The speaker was Dr. Peter Harbison, R.I.A. who lectured on Irish Art and Architecture 600 - 1200 A.D.

 The series of talks continues on Monday, November 16th at 8 pm., when the speaker will be Mr. Eamonn P. Kelly, Keeper of Irish Antiquities, National Museum of Ireland. The subject of his lecture will be Irish Bog Bodies. All are welcome.
